Old tweets from Daniel James showing support for Chelsea surface online after Man Utd transfer

Chelsea, Daniel James, Manchester United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s first signing at the club, Manchester United officially unveiled Daniel James to the world recently.

The youngster joins United on the back of an exceptional breakthrough campaign at the Liberty Stadium where he terrorised Championship defenders with his electrifying pace while nicking up four goals and seven assists.

Controversial social media updates from 5 years ago

Within a few hours after his unveiling, tweets from 2014 went viral online, especially amongst Chelsea fans (Twitter).

Back in 2014, James taunted Manchester United for rejoicing a single point against a ten men Chelsea that night.

When asked in the comments that whether he supported Chelsea, the answer was yes.

Man United fans should keep it real though

Wayne Rooney grew up supporting Everton before growing up to become a legend at Old Trafford.

John Terry supported Manchester United as a boy and went on to establish himself as a Blues superstar.

Will he succeed at United?

The track record of young players moving to Old Trafford in recent years has not been overly positive.

James has moved to Manchester during a period of transition for United, and finding his feet in the squad will not be easy.

Although, he can hit the ground running with the right attitude and training, as few can really doubt his ability.

  1. Ah will you all just get real, it doesn’t matter who a player supported or supports inches he is willing to give his all for the team he is playing for. Not every player is playing for their childhood team, actually very few are, but it’s a job, they get paid and if they give their all they will be loved by the fans
