The transfer window is often the period where ridiculous speculations from the smallest of activities of footballers are scrutinized by fans and reporters.
Even the smallest of links between players and clubs are analysed.
Another classic example of this is currently happening with Kylian Mbappe enjoying his holidays in the USA where he posted a picture with basketball legend LeBron James.

James has a 2% ownership of Liverpool Football Club. He invested a sum of $6.5 million in the club in 2011. The value of his investment is now approximately $32 million!
While he seems to be making quite a hefty profit from his investment, he avidly follows the happenings of the club as well.
From appearing in Anfield to watch the team play and celebrate Liverpool wins through posts in his social media, he is a true advocate for the club.
The real reason why Liverpool fans freaking out
It started with Mbappe being spotted with the Liverpool part-owner, but the fanbase went into a meltdown after reliable journo Paul Joyce (Northern Football Correspondent for The Times) retweeted Mbappe’s Twitter post about his activities in America which has added speculation amongst the Kopites (Empire of the Kop).
While this does seem to be a classic case of coincidence especially considering the fact that the United States of America is amongst the favourite holiday destination for footballing stars, it isn’t surprising that Liverpool fans are considering the prospect of Mbappe donning the Liverpool jersey.

Mbappe took the world by storm last year in the World Cup and hasn’t looked back since. A move to PSG followed by an outstanding season where he scored 38 goals in 64 outings has made him the most valuable player in the world (SPORTbible).
At the age of 20, he is poised to take the mantle of being the best in the world from the likes of Messi and Ronaldo.
While it is unlikely that PSG would let go of their talisman, crazier things have happened in the transfer window and Liverpool fans would love to abide by the “nothing is impossible” rule.
