There doesn’t appear to be any Premier League footballer who divides fans quite like Anthony Martial does.
To some he remains one of the most naturally gifted footballers in the modern game while for others the Frenchman embodies everything that has gone wrong with Manchester United this season.
Martial’s attitude, work-rate and commitment on several occasions have been questioned by both managers and fans alike.
A few months ago, a video emerged on social media of Martial putting in very little effort during a warm-up routine which not only incensed the United supporters but also infuriated manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer (Twitter).
The United boss is looking to rebuild his team this summer starting with the pre-season tour which begins next and his recent statements has outlined his expectations of his team before the start of their next campaign.
And that is exactly what Martial has been seen doing in a recent video which surfaced online.
The Frenchman would be looking forward to ensure that he fits into the plans of Solskjaer as the manager wants to restore the original philosophy of the Red Devils to develop youth rather than going on a spending spree for superstars.
While United possess other young stars including Rashford, Lingard and their recent signing Daniel James, Martial still remains their deadliest attacker with the stats to show for it.
Scoring 12 and assisting 2 goals last season for the Red Devils, the 23-year-old brings much more to the table by his link up play and the ability to create chances.
