Raheem Sterling trolled for liking Marcus Rashford’s ‘Manchester is Red’ post

Manchester United

After United’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City earlier this month, fans will be treated to another edition of the Manchester derby in the Carabao Cup after the two sides from Manchester drew each other for the semi-finals of the competition.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer showed his tactical masterclass during the last derby when his United side absolutely ran rings around Pep’s Champions and oversaw the kind of dominant performance not seen from United sides at the Etihad since Sir Alex retired.

Much of the praise for United’s mini resurgence of late has been going to Marcus Rashford who has already notched up his personal best goal tally just halfway into this campaign.

And almost two weeks after United’s victory, the striker seems to be in no mood to give up United’s local bragging rights and posted a photo on Instagram with Mason Greenwood urging his side to keep Manchester red.

With his affiliation to the blue half of Manchester and also featuring in the derby for the Citizens personally, Raheem Sterling was perhaps the last person United fans would have been expecting to ‘like’ Rashford’s post but the England international did just that.

But the attacker would soon regret his decision with eagle eyed United fans quickly noticing his social media activity and with such an important City player liking a post which openly mocks their derby defeat, United fans were always going to rub it in the faces of their rival fans and are having a field day on Twitter.

“From Liverpool to City and now supporting United!”. Check out the reaction from United fans here:
