The British television series Gangs Of London seems to have taken the world by storm. Barely an episode into its first season, the action drama has excited many fans, and for good reason.
The series has been directed by Gareth Evans, a man famous for developing cult classics that are The Raid films. The engaging and realistic fighting in the series has the English populace hooked to the show.
Now, a promising show debut is all well and good, but the series seems to have very little connection to football to merit this article.
At least, that is what one would have thought, had it not been for eagle-eyed Tottenham Hotspur fans glued to the show.
In multiple scenes from the episode, they managed to find something quite intriguing about the background sets. That is, they were all filmed on location at Spur’s spanking new stadium.
These shots included one where the first floor balcony posed as an ‘airport’.
Another scene involved the underground car park from the stadium too.
As one user pointed out, this was likely an entertainment deal of some sorts. It almost certainly had significant financial benefits for Spurs administration.
