Liverpool fans notice how Sergio Busquets still hasn’t tweeted since Barcelona lost at Anfield

Barcelona, Liverpool

It’s the umpteenth day of the lockdown with no trace of footballing action as of yet.

On the brighter side, there’s plenty of time available for us fans to reminisce about the spiciest football match-ups of the past.

The game on the list today is the one that has managed to leave a heavy mark on the hearts of the fans, which would vary depending on which side you belong to.

We are talking about THAT night at Anfield, exactly an year from today.

You have to be living under a cave if you are unbeknownst to the 4-0 thumping Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool side dished out to Spanish giants FC Barcelona, in what turned out to be one of the most enthralling ties in recent times.

However, as with any football match, there are two sides to the story.

On one hand, Merseyside erupted with the joy of progressing to the Champions League final.

Meanwhile, the Catalans were left distraught after coming so close with the 3-0 home advantage.

The agony that trembled through the hearts of the Barcelona players last year perhaps still perturbs them to this day.

Busquets gone missing from Twitter

A few Twitteratis have noticed Sergio Busquets’ absence from the platform ever since that second leg at Anfield.

The last tweet from the Spanish international dates back to one day before the same match the previous year.

Ironically, the tweet was captioned –

What’s remarkable is the fact that the midfielder used to be regularly active on the platform.
