Even as Leeds United made the surprise move to resume training today, fans were clamoring over the social media post of one man – Pablo Hernandez.
The Spanish journeyman, formerly a part of La Liga sides Valencia and Getafe, joined the Peacocks on a six month loan deal in 2016.
The move was soon made permanent and, needless to say, Hernandez has massively impacted Leeds’ fortunes since then.
Racking up 31 goals and 34 assists in 130 games, Hernandez has become an integral part of Marcelo Bielsa’s squad.
Which is why supporters of the attacking midfielder went into a tizzy as Hernandez posted an image on his Instagram story.
He shared a photo of himself resting during a training session. The text in the image – “We come back” – seemed to have resonated with the fans loud and clear.
With that photo, Hernandez seems to have sent out an explicit signal of intent.
This has certainly served as a shot in the arm for Leeds United supporters’ hopes.
They now look forward to resumption of the league, and eventually, their team achieving promotion.
