The past few months have been rather intense for Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi.
The 19-year-old has gone from signing a big five-year deal with the Blues to suffering from the novel coronavirus and, most recently, facing rape allegations.
The Police arrested the England international on May 17 over an allegation of rape from a woman he is understood to have met online.
However, the situation now seems to have clarified by Hudson-Odoi as he released a new statement on the topic on his official Instagram handle.
The Chelsea star shed light on his situation and wrote, “I have stayed silent and assisted the police fully throughout their enquiries, as I knew the day would soon come when my name would be cleared.”
Following a full and thorough investigation, the police have confirmed they will take no further action on Hudson-Odoi.
The 19-year-old winger concluded his statement with a heartfelt message, “I have learned that being a footballer and playing for one of the best clubs in the world comes with great responsibility, and going forward I will try and use my platform as a Chelsea player to be the best role model that I can be.”
Throughout this hard situation, the Chelsea family backed the player, as expressed by the comments on Hudson-Odoi’s statement on Instagram –
