Thursday evening on Merseyside had a different feel to it when Chelsea beat second-place Manchester City 2-1, mathematically making it impossible for Pep Guardiola’s men to catch Liverpool with seven games remaining.
So dominant throughout the season that Liverpool players didn’t even need to be there on the pitch to do the job.
