Chelsea faced Wolverhampton Wanderers on the final matchday of the season knowing that they had to get a result to ensure Champions League qualification for the next season.

They did so in style by scoring 2 goals and keeping a clean sheet on their way.

Mason Mount opened the scoring with a brilliant free kick and Olivier Giroud added another to ensure qualification for Europe’s elite club competition.

Moreover, these two moments weren’t the only ones that Chelsea fans enjoyed that day. In the 70th minute, wing-back Marcos Alonso glided the ball effortlessly past Adama Traoré down the left hand channel.

Alonso’s skill made it even sweeter considering the fact that Traoré has made a decent reputation for himself in the last two years.

Former FC Barcelona winger Traoré is an immensely strong and pacey forward who is valued at £135m and has been on the radar of elite European clubs like Juventus, Real Madrid and Liverpool.

He joined Wolves in the summer of 2018 and has been an integral part of Nuno Espirito Santo’s side. It’s the 24-year-old’s transformation from a skinny young boy to a bulky strong man that has surprised the footballing world.

Considering his size, the pace he possesses is second to none. The Spaniard is undoubtedly one of the most talented forwards in the world and has a bright future ahead of him.

Maybe Traoré is going to play for a European giant next season and Alonso will continue his trade at Chelsea, but this was a sweet moment for the Blues which they’d have enjoyed a lot –
