Celtic’s rising star Karamoko Dembele scored his first senior goal for the club in their preseason opener against Hibernian.
The wunderkind first grabbed the headlines in Europe when he debuted for Celtic’s U-20 team at the tender age of 13. Since then, the highly sought after winger continued to develop at the club and finally made his senior debut in December 2018.
Having turned seventeen just a few months ago, the England youth international seems to have earned himself a special admirer in the shape of Barcelona’s world cup winning star Antoine Griezmann.
Following the 3-1 victory against the Hibs, Dembele posted a picture from the game on Instagram, captioned, “Good to end preseason with a win and a goal.”
Barcelona’s 29-year-old forward was quick to congratulate the kid on occasion, replying with a sunglasses and fire emoji on Dembele’s post.
The young Celtic star duly acknowledged the Frenchman’s praise with a handshake emoji, which has the Hoops faithful speculating of an emerging friendship between the two.
