A picture of Liverpool’s third kit for the next campaign has leaked online. The shirt will be designed by Nike after a $39.5m per year deal was struck between them and the club in January 2020 which led to the termination of the Reds’ deal with New Balance.

The shirt has a black and grey checkers combination on the front side. The shoulders are of plain black colour followed by grey sleeves. The pink and white colour combination on the shirt’s v-neck is followed by the Nike and Liverpool logo, both in pink. The sponsor Standard Chartered’s logo features in white and lastly, long pink coloured panels are to be seen on both sides of the waist.

This shirt is quite different from the 2019-20 kit as the black based theme on that jersey had neon green logos as well as a round neck pattern.

The first glimpse of the next year’s leaked shirt didn’t impress much because it seems a bit over designed due to the checkered pattern. Moreover, there were rumours that the shirt would be based on the black and pink colour colour combination instead of grey and black.

It’d be really interesting to see the opinions of fans once the kit officially comes out in August.

Just like other Nike 2020-21 third kits, the Reds’ jersey for the next campaign will be inspired by classic Air Max sneakers. This leaked shirt is likely inspired by the Nike Mercurial TN 2019.
