Manchester United youngster Scott Mctominay is currently enjoying his postseason holiday in Greece. The players were given some time off after the league campaign concluded with the final day victory against Leicester City and the club qualifying for next season’s Champions League.
The midfielder uploaded a story on Instagram with him partying at a Greek club and defying the social distancing rules. Though the video has now been deleted by him, it has gone viral on Twitter and Reddit.
Some fans are of the view that the pandemic is not that severe in Greece with less reported cases. So, it was perfectly normal of him to enjoy his holidays partying. Others believe that he should not have exposed himself to the situation like this and should not have even gone clubbing in the first place.
While the player didn’t break the current law of the country he was in, it certainly cannot be denied that he should have been more responsible given that Manchester United, the players and everyone associated with the club have been exemplary on what to do and what to avoid in these tough times.
Mctominay has been in good form throughout the season for the Red Devils and continues to be an integral part of Ole’s plans to take Manchester United to the top once again.
The players will return to Aon training complex shortly to start their preparations for the Europa League round of 16 second leg tie against LASK and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjær will surely want to have a word with the academy graduate on the whole scenario.
