Chelsea publicize Hakim Ziyech signing as new poster goes up outside Stamford Bridge

Chelsea, Hakim Ziyech

The disappointment of the FA Cup loss against Arsenal is still prevalent amongst the Blues faithful. However, the fans remain optimistic for the upcoming season with Chelsea making inroads in the transfer market to bolster their squad.

Frank Lampard was handed a difficult task of guiding a young Chelsea team on track in the absence of any new signings amid the transfer ban.

Having done a relatively decent job by finishing third in the Premier League and reaching the FA Cup final, the Chelsea manager is adamant that the team must improve and should challenge for the title next season.

Now that the ban has been lifted, the Blues have spent a combined €93m on Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner and are still not done yet in the transfer market with rumours linking Chelsea with €90 million rated Bayer Leverkusen star Kai Havertz.

However, despite the arrival of Timo Werner and several omnipresent rumours, former Ajax man still remain quite popular amongst the Blues faithful.

The 27-year-old midfielder has begun training under Frank Lampard and has already left great impressions on the coaching staff.

Ziyech’s potential was first put on the big stage during Ajax’s 18/19 Champions League run, and fans expect the Moroccan to now deliver more of the same in the Premier League.

As Chelsea prepares for the 20/21 campaign, a poster of Hakim Ziyech donning the Chelsea blue has been put up at the Stamford Bridge, broadcasting the signing to the people of South London yet again.

Fans are drooling over the possibility of watching the attacking trio of Hakim Ziyech, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic ripping through the opposition defences next season as Premier League prepares the commencement of the new campaign on September 12.
