Fortnite gets Liverpool-flavored update as ‘Hendo shuffle’ and YNWA included as emote in the game

Jordan Henderson, Liverpool

It’s been one year since Liverpool and captain Jordan Henderson lifted the Champions League trophy in Madrid. Since then, Liverpool have won the Super Cup, the Club World Cup and the Premier League to become the undisputed kings of world football.

Jordan Henderson’s iconic trophy lift was thoroughly loved by the Anfield faithful after the 2-0 victory over Spurs in Madrid and since then, the ‘Hendo shuffle’ has been used every time the captain has lifted a trophy for the club.

In Fact, the shuffle has become so famous that it has now become part of popular video game Fortnite.

With the game’s new v13.40 update, a lot of new skins and cosmetics have been released for the users.

Liverpool fans would especially notice the new emote known as ‘Raise the cup’ where the famous shuffle, along with the club’s anthem ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, is observed –

Henderson recently explained that he didn’t plan on doing the shuffle in Madrid. It was actually his teammate Robertson who used to do it, pretending to lift a trophy.

So, the captain did it impulsively and wanted to see and recognise his teammates instead of lifting the trophy with his back towards them.

Consequently, the players have wanted him to do the shuffle in their subsequent triumphs as well.

This was undoubtedly a class act from the Liverpool captain and now we’ll get to witness this gesture in Fortnite as well.
