The recently concluded campaign wasn’t the best for Roberto Firmino if the stats are concerned.
The Brazilian could only manage 9 goals in the Premier League last season.
Now we know that Firmino does not function like your typical striker in Jurgen Klopp’s system, but even with that in mind, the lack of goals (especially at Anfield) was a cause of concern for many Reds fans.
As the new season approaches, the reigning champions are currently working hard in a pre-season training camp in Austria.
The players were put through their paces as the more attack-minded players were seen being involved in a shooting drill.
The drill in itself looked rather intense with the goalkeeper being bombarded with shots from several players.
Though, what caught the eye of most fans, was a special goal from Firmino.
The Brazilian showed he’s still got a terrific eye for goals as he plucked the right top corner of the net with a stunning lobbed effort.
A goal so good that Van Dijk let out a rousing ‘senor’ shout, an obvious reference to the song ‘Si Senor’ dedicated to the Brazilian by the Liverpool fans.
