Thomas Tuchel’s Paris Saint-Germain fell to a 1-0 defeat against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League final on Sunday.

This victory also rounded off a glorious season for the Bavarians as they completed the treble, their first under the regime of Hansi Flick.

Below is a look at the player ratings by L’Equipe as Neymar and Co. weren’t quite at their best against the Bavarian giants.

Keylor Navas was generally solid throughout and was awarded 6. In defence, captain Silva along with Kimpembe also put in a dominant display with ratings of 7 and 6 respectively. Left-back Bernat’s quick runs and decent tracking back earned him a rating of 6, but his fellow right-back Kehrer was totally outclassed at the back post for the winning goal. Subsequently, he was rated 3.

While both Marquinhos and Paredes could have done better (both rated 4), Ander Herrera was the standout player at the center of the park as he kept getting the ball into the path of his teammates and surprisingly, he was subbed off. He was rated 5.

It was the attackers who were surprisingly poor, given their star-status. Neymar and Mbappe both missed good chances and looked frustrated at times. They were rated 3.

Angel Di Maria continued his decent run as he displayed his classy footwork throughout. He could have done better in front of goal, though and was rated 4.

Manuel Neuer’s display was excellent between the sticks. He made countless saves and was subsequently rated 9.

Both Alaba and Davies on the left side of the defence found it challenging to cope with the likes of Di Maria and Herrera (both rated 5).

Sule had a considerable task when he came on for Boateng in the 25th minute, but he did his job well. Right-back Kimmich’s beautiful assist for the goal settled the game and was rated 7.

Thiago phenomenally dictated the tempo of the game as Goretzka’s tracking back was impressive as well. The duo were rated 8 and 6 respectively. Muller, rated 5, dug deep and his pressing was decent throughout the game.

In-form forwards Lewandowski and Gnabry did not do the damage on the night but were technically positioned well. They were rated 6 and 5 respectively. Match winner Coman was a constant threat and the surprise starter re-paid Flick’s faith with a rating of 8.
