What Thiago Alcantara said while going off against PSG shows he will fit right in with Jurgen Klopp and the Liverpool squad

Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Thiago Alcantara

Bayern Munich vs Paris Saint-Germain wasn’t Lewandowski’s Champions League final, nor was it Neymar’s or Mbappe’s.

It was Thiago’s Champions League final, as he dictated the pace of the match from the heart of the Bayern midfield just as he has done since joining the club in 2013 from Barcelona.

Now having only ten months left on his contract, the Spaniard might just have said his famous last words as a Bayern player on a football pitch.

“Fight with your life, hermano” said Thiago to an oncoming Corentin Tolisso, while being subbed off in the 86th minute against PSG after the performance of a lifetime.

Thiago has rejected advances from Bayern towards signing a new contract, as it appears that the Spaniard needs a change of pace after seven long years in Germany.

Anfield is the most heavily rumoured destination for the former Barcelona man, with Jurgen Klopp keen on the playmaker.

As of recent reports, Thiago has already found a place to live in the Merseyside and has also accepted a four-year deal that ties him down with the English champions until 2024.

Thiago’s do-or-die attitude on the pitch will fight right in with Jurgen Klopp’s relentless Liverpool side.

Klopp’s men possess the same attitude, to leave it all out on the pitch, which led to one of the most miraculous comebacks in Champions League history.

A rather interesting debate can take place regarding who Alcantara will replace in the heart of Klopp’s 4-3-3.

With the likes of captain Jordan Henderson, Fabinho, Wijnaldum, Milner and Naby Keita all clawing for minutes, it might be difficult for Klopp to keep all his players happy.
