Inter Milan midfielder on loan at Gladbach, Valentino Lazaro scored an early goal of the season contender in the 4-3 defeat against Bayer Leverkusen.
Two of the best sides in Bundesliga this season, Bayer Leverkusen took on Borussia Monchengladbach in what was an high-octane game of football at the BayArena.
There had been only one defeat in the combined 12 matches for these two sides in the German top flight with Leverkusen yet to taste defeat.
It was the second big match in the Bundesliga this weekend with Bayern Munich v Borussia Dortmund taking place yesterday and boy did it live up to its expectations.
Gladbach opened the scoring on the 18th minute thanks to a penalty from Lars Stindl but Leverkusen were back on level terms just nine minutes later with Lucas Alario finding the back of the net.
At the half hour mark, Stindl made it 1-2 but Alario, again, leveled the scoreline for Bayer before half-time.
In the second half, Leon Bailey gave the lead to Bayer before Baumgartlinger made it 4-2.
With the game seemingly done & dusted, Inter loanee pulled off a sensational goal late in the game for Gladbach.
