It was a night to remember for everyone that associates themselves with Athletic Bilbao as they came back from behind twice in the game to bag the Supercopa de Espana trophy with a 3-2 win against Barcelona on Sunday.
Goals from Oscar de Marcos and Asier Villalibre cancelled out Antoine Griezmann’s brace as the match went to extra time at the Estadio de La Cartuja.
It just wasn’t meant to be for the La Liga juggernauts this time around as Inaki Williams let one rip from the edge of the box 3 minutes into extra time to clinch the win for Los Leones.
An emphatic moment for a club which has a policy of signing players only from Basque region.
In an ideal world, the squad would have celebrated the win with fans in the streets but with the coronavirus pandemic still going on, Bilbao players were reduced to their hotel soon after the game was finished.
Though, new footage has arrived on the internet showing that things did get wild as some of the Bilbao players decided to form an AC/DC tribute band and performed cult classic ‘Highway to Hell’ for the travelers staying at the Seville hotel.
Featuring Dani García on drums, Óscar de Marcos, Mikel Vesga and Mikel Balenziaga on guitar, Iñigo Lekue on bass and Asier Villalibre on vocals –
