Senator Clay Davis of ‘The Wire’ had the perfect response to Liverpool’s shock defeat against Burnley

Liverpool

Players and managers fought on & off the pitch during half-time as Liverpool lost their first Premier League match at home in 1,369 days.

Ashley Barnes delivered a sucker punch to Liverpool’s title hopes when he converted a penalty in the 83rd minute as the Reds succumbed to a 1-0 defeat at Anfield.

There’s an air of doom & gloom surrounding Liverpool at the moment as Jurgen Klopp’s side find themselves 6 points off Manchester United at the top of the table.

Liverpool fans have been left drowning in their sorrows and there seems to be no end to the joy rival fans have been left with since the result last night.

But perhaps, the best reaction might have come from an actor who has played one of the best roles ever on television.

Isiah Whitlock Jr., who is best known for his starring role as the despicable Senator Clay Davis on HBO smash-hit ‘The Wire’, dropped his famous catchphrase (where he elongates the word sh*t) after the game on Thursday.

The Hollywood actor took to his Twitter account and wrote – “Burnley? At Anfield? Sheeeeeeeee-it!”

It is unclear as to whether Isiah Whitlock Jr. is a Burnley supporter or not but his apt reaction to the result shows the actor likes to keep tabs on Premier League football.
