The Chelsea away kit for next season could be certified money maker for Nike if this rendition made by a designer is to believed.
The kit is reminiscent of Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund’s famous colours – as it features black accents on a yellow background. The kit features a yellow shirt with black accents in the collar, the sleeves and under the sleeves – along with black shorts with yellow accents.
The look is nicely rounded off with yellow socks with black lettering on them, as the kit serves to be a clean idea – the distorted chequered patterns on the shirt compliment the minimalistic, yet gorgeous appeal of the kit.
The designer mentioned in his tweet that the kit is based on the rumours that surfaced online about Chelsea’s colours for their away kit next season – as a majority of the club’s supporters online found themselves on board with the design of the kit.
The kit has received an incredibly positive reaction from the club’s fans and stands clear as a unanimous winner for the best kit of next season if Nike decides to employ a similar design while creating the Chelsea 2021/2022 away shirt.
Yellow is a colour that has previously been used in Chelsea’s away kits, the most recent of them being a Nike-manufactured kit in the 2018/2019 season, and another being an away kit manufactured by erstwhile sponsors Adidas – in the 2014/2015 season when Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side went on to win the fifth league title in their history.
