Lionel Messi waited for the opposition players to get tired in the second half before he started his usual routine and scored two goals as Barcelona won the Copa Del Rey final against Athletic Bilbao.
His first on the night was just pure art. The only way to describe it would be that it was football at its finest.
The Argentine started the play from his own half, ultramarathoned his way across the pitch and rounded the move by literally passing the ball into the net with the keeper rooted to the ground and rendered completely useless.
The goal was a perfect representation of Messi as a player as he ran from behind the halfway line, combined with his teammates to create gaps, and then turned on the individual brilliance to apply the finishing touch.
