Sean Dyche has got his Burnley players so drilled that they were spotted running down the clock whilst comfortably winning the game against Wolves.
Chris Wood scored a hat-trick and assisted the only other goal but the New Zealand striker made the rounds on social media for an entirely different reason as Burnley won 0-4 at Molineux today.
Burnley lived up to the saying ‘old habits die hard’ as the Clarets players went to the corner flag, holding the ball, to run the clock down in the 88th minute of the game.
Of all the times they would have needed to apply the dark arts of taking the ball towards the corner, today wasn’t one. Were they worried Wolves might score 4 goals in 2 minutes?
It is so silly that it is adorable –
Burnley being 4-0 up and keeping the ball in the corner is the greatest thing I have ever seen in my life😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/bGdTpTHhYl
