Sergio Reguilon’s first goal in a Tottenham shirt was an incredible finish, though at the back of his own net, as Aston Villa won 2-1 against Spurs.
It was an astonishing effort from the left-back, who tried to volley Marvelous Nakamba’s cross clear but instead sliced it past Hugo Lloris. As expected, Reguilon sank to the ground in despair.
Reguilon’s decline in form since the first few months of the season has been spectacular, as evident from his performance against Aston Villa last night.
The former Real Madrid fullback had a nightmare outing at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium as besides the own goal, Reguilon was also responsible for Aston Villa’s match-winner when he failed to clear the ball and hit it against Bertrand Traore and the ball deflected into the path of Ollie Watkins to score.
Check out the own goal from Reguilon below –
