Man City produced a move that had 1-0 written all over it as Kevin de Bruyne played through Phil Foden on goal after some good work from Gundogan and Sterling in the first half at the Estadio do Dragao.
It was a massive moment in the game as it was the only time City had a bit of play in Chelsea’s third but it came to none after Antonio Rudiger flew in out of nowhere and planted an audacious block to thwart away Foden’s effort.
The German defender has been one of the most improved players under Thomas Tuchel and paid his manager’s faith in him by delivering a defensive masterclass in the Champions League final as he didn’t let City players breathe in peace.
