Lionel Messi didn’t put a foot wrong more or less in the entire game as Argentina continued their unbeaten run since the last Copa America with a 1-1 draw in the World Cup qualifier match against Chile in Buenos Aires.
The Barcelona legend slid a calm and composed penalty to put the Albiceleste ahead after Lautaro Martinez was tripped inside the box in the 24th minute.
Besides the penalty, Messi had to essentially create his chances for himself as he won two free-kicks and almost scored had it not been for the crossbar and a world-class save from Claudio Bravo. Messi also attempted two shots from distance on the back of a couple of brilliant individual runs.

Amazing game from the greatest of all time yet again in his first Argentina appearance in 2021. Could’ve easily scored 2-3 goals.
