Olivier Giroud turned fox in the box twice after replacing an injured Karim Benzema in the first half as France won their final Euro 2020 warmup fixture with a 3-0 win against Bulgaria.
With his clinical brace, the Chelsea striker now needs only 5 more goals to equal Thierry Henry’s goal record as the top scorer of the French national team.
It was a routine win for Didier Deschamps’ star-studded side as Les Bleus blew their opponents apart with 70% possession at the Stade de France.
Giroud applied the finishing touches to the game with two goals in 7 minutes when he converted two crosses from Ben Pavard and Wissam Ben Yedder from either flank.
