Jose Mourinho’s mural painted in honour of him being appointed as the new AS Roma manager has now been vandalised by what looks like the work of some excited Lazio fans after the announcement of Maurizio Sarri at the helm.

In the new mural painted by graffiti artist Harry Greb in Rome’s Testaccio neighbourhood, Mourinho’s face has now been superimposed by an artwork of a smoke cloud formed by Maurizio Sarri.

Along with the Old Firm (Celtic v Rangers) and the Intercontinental Derby (Galatasaray v Fenerbahce), the Derby della Capitale between Roma and Lazio is one of the fiercest derbies in Europe.

By all accounts, the meeting between the two sides already appears to be one of the fixtures to look out for next season as the rivalry has become that much more spicier after the arrival of two famous managers.
