Cristiano Ronaldo, Euro 2020

At 36 years of age, Cristiano Ronaldo still possesses the pace and desire to shine at the biggest of stages as he started and then finished off a lightning-fast counterattack goal against Germany.

Die Mannschaft were sledgehammered by a sudden Portugal team goal in the 15th minute following a period of attacking possession at Allianz Arena.

It was the Portuguese captain’s first-ever goal against Germany as he cleared a corner from the edge of his penalty area and almost ran the entire length of the pitch, 92 meters to be precise, in 14 seconds to create a goalscoring opportunity for himself on the other end.

The Juventus star was smartly aided by Bernardo Silva, who delivered a well-weighted pass that was controlled by Diogo Jota, who served it on a plate for Ronaldo to tap it in.
