Edinson Cavani eventually found the back of the net as Uruguay exploited the exposed Bolivian defence to go 2-0 up in their Copa America encounter at Arena Pantanal.
Bolivia were 1-0 down with 10 minutes to play and threw the kitchen sink to find the equaliser but were instead punished for their endeavours in a brutal manner.
Los Altiplanicos were pegged back after substitute Facundo Torres found himself in acres of space down the left and whipped a cross for the Manchester United star to sidefoot it home.
The 34-year-old striker had been utterly wasteful with his finishing throughout the match but finally scored in the 79th minute when he outsprinted a defender to get on the right side of Facundo Torres’ perfectly weighted pass and thumped in his 52nd goal for his country.
