One of the longest-running transfer sagas in recent memory came to an end when Manchester United announced the signing of Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
The announcement was accompanied by a clip that features the English winger setting a record straight – despite being from the Manchester City academy, Sancho had now officially secured a move to their rivals.
And for good measure, Sancho made it a point to mention that Man Utd is ‘his club.’
The ex-Borussia Dortmund winger who joined United for an approximate sum of £73 million also added that United is where he belongs.

The statement which went viral on social media proved a point considering that Sancho came up through the academy of United’s rivals across the city – and featuring for their academy team quite a number of times.
Sancho earned a move to Dortmund in 2017 and became a mainstay in the team for four seasons – before securing a return to English soil in the famous red jersey.
Furthermore, even though Sancho is a London-born boy who was captured on film admitting that he was a Chelsea fan growing up – he insists that the move has taken him ‘home’.
And despite his links to previous clubs in the past and his history of playing in their rivals’ sky blue kit, the Red Devils supporters can rest assured that Sancho is a Red through and through – as already put straight by their newest star signing who is guaranteed to light up Old Trafford.
