Arsenal, Ben White

Arsenal have officially announced their third signing of the summer in Ben White.

The English centre-back joins from Brighton and Hove Albion for an estimated fee of £50m, signing a long-term contract at the north London club.

While the Gunners and their faithful are likely to be excited to have one of the most promising defenders in the country at the club, White is just as buzzing to wear the red and white – as could be interpreted from his unveiling.

White was officially unveiled alongside his new manager Mikel Arteta yesterday. As the young defender got to try on his new threads for the upcoming season – he looked extremely excited at the prospect of turning out for Arsenal.

In a clip that has since gone viral on social media platforms, White is asked about his feelings right after putting on the Arsenal jersey for the first time – to which White replied that it feels ‘unbelievable.’

A gushing White also added that he feels like the colours suit him – suggesting that he already feels like a Gunner at heart.

White looked visibly delighted with his new shirt as well as his new number, as it was revealed that he would wear the number 4 shirt for the upcoming season.

Mikel Arteta would be just as delighted after landing his first-choice signing in defence ahead of the coming season. The Spaniard will need to solidify the leaky Arsenal backline in the Gunners’ bid to qualify for Champions League spots after a long absence from the competition.
