Olivier Giroud came off the bench to score his first goal for AC Milan. A battling header from his first touch ever for the club.
Stefano Pioli’s side kicked off their $ACM Fan Token European Summer Tour 2021 with a 1-1 draw against OGC Nice at Allianz Riviera.
Up against a side who were much further in their pre-season campaign, the Rossoneri conceded 13 minutes into the second half when Amine Gouiri converted from the spot.
Milan responded less than 10 minutes later after Olivier Giroud replaced Rafael Leao upfront and connected with Samu Castillejo’s free-kick from the left.
It was the former Chelsea star’s first touch for his new club as he headed home the equaliser in the 65th minute.
The veteran striker was not done and almost bagged the winner for his side when he came close to converting Andrea Conti’s cross from the right.
