Donny van de Beek did not have the best of first seasons at Manchester United.
The Dutchman was supposed to have an integral role in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team but ended up making only 19 appearances in the league and scoring only once.
Van de Beek was on the periphery of the United squad all through last season, but it has been suggested that a change in fortune might be on the cards very soon.
Fans on social media platforms have noticed a telling difference which suggests that van de Beek might have a very successful season this time around.
The midfielder seems to have hit the gym in an attempt to put on muscle, and he has succeeded in doing so judging from his recent pictures during a pre-season outing.
Van de Beek looks incredibly buff and much stronger physically than he looked last season, and much more likely to succeed in a league as physically challenging as the Premier League in England.

Exciting training ground reveal
Journalist Adam Crafton has backed up these claims as he reported that Manchester United players are speaking privately of Donny van de Beek who appears more robust and confident on the training field.
According to Crafton, a source close to Van de Beek says that “a hunger and fire” is burning within the player to make the grade at United, and exorcise the demons that kept him on the bench for the majority of last season.
United fans will certainly hope that the change in physique will help the 24-year-old carve his place as an integral player for the club and help the club in regaining the Premier League title for the first time since the 2012/13 season.
