It is certainly not a good time to be an Arsenal fan. The club has spent more than £100m on transfers this summer already but the team continues to falter on the field.
The Gunners opened the league with two defeats and no goals for the first time in their history as Mikel Arteta’s side suffered a 2-0 loss against London rivals, Chelsea, after opening-day defeat to newcomers Brentford by the same scoreline.
The frustrations within the fans is at an all-time high as one angry supporter took to confronting technical director Edu at the Emirates yesterday.
The former Arsenal player is the face of the hierarchy that runs the club and had to bear the ugly incident along with his wife & kids.
The Brazilian was nonplussed to the fan’s outburst but his wife couldn’t hold back her emotions as she showed her middle finger to the Arsenal fan.
The incident has certainly left Twitter divided. Check out the reactions below –

Edu confronter slammed for his actions
Embarrassing. I’m as angry as anyone but Edu has literally spent more money than anyone in England this window, it’s Arteta’s responsibility to have us win football matches.

Edu confronter finds support too
I love that until we start dealing with them accordingly they won’t respond to our needs

good on him, discourse is needed at the club when there’s stupid decisions being made

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this btw. The fan is literally calling him out and making his opinion heard. Its the same with the fans going up to Artetas car. They didn't smash his car in or threaten him, they made their voices heard to the people responsible https://t.co/X0dhOeuo4U
