The incredible weight-loss transformation of YouTube star Chunkz

Soccer Aid is a British annual charity event that has raised over £38 million in aid of UNICEF UK, through ticket sales and donations from the public.

The latest edition of the televised match between England and the Soccer Aid World XI took place at the Etihad Stadium last weekend and featured celebrities and former international footballers.

While many of the former international players looked comparatively out of shape, no one on the pitch looked more in shape than YouTuber Chunkz – who caught the country’s attention with his crazy transformation.

Chunkz, an English host and entertainer with over 1.8 million subscribers on YouTube has developed a reputation for himself as one of the most popular YouTubers in the country over the past few years, and his love for football has seen him feature for England in a fair few Soccer Aid matches.

But this year’s Soccer Aid match was very different for the YouTuber as instead of turning up overweight as his name would suggest, he turned up at the Etihad Stadium looking leaner and meaner than he ever did before – showing off an incredible physical transformation that totally stunned the capacity crowd in Manchester.

Chunkz looked quite honestly, in much better shape than many of the former international players that he was sharing the pitch with.

Only a year ago, the 25-year-old turned out in a Three Lions jersey for the charity-friendly at Old Trafford – while looking well overweight.

Chunkz missed the decisive spot-kick on that night which led to a Soccer Aid XI win on penalties, but he put his year’s exile from the pitch to full use as he put in the hours in the gym over the past year.

The results showed when Chunkz looked unrecognizable when he jogged onto the turf last weekend – almost as a whole new person.

His physical transformation attracted plaudits from many followers on social media platforms who congratulated Chunkz for the insane weight loss in a year’s time – and the long list of his admirers also contained one major, major football personality in UNICEF Good Will Ambassador David Beckham.

Following the friendly, Beckham approached Chunkz to congratulate him on his weight loss – something that flattered the YouTuber deeply enough for him to post about it on his Twitter account. Chunkz hinted that it was quite surreal having someone like Beckham come up to him, by adding that it felt like he is “living in a simulation.”
