Kylian Mbappe scoring a backheel goal while spinning is highly over-the-top, and we’re all for it

Scoring astonishing goals comes easy to PSG talisman Kylian Mbappe, and his latest no-look superhuman back-heel strike proves his genius even further.

This outrageous piece of skill was caught on camera during Mbappe’s training session with the world champions, who were visibly brushing up on their finishing technique.

As the cross was directed towards the 23-year-old, he displays swiftness of movement in deftly receiving the aerial delivery. He then performs a graceful turn, and nets the ball with an exquisite “No-look” back-heel, past a stupefied goalkeeper. Post this stroke of brilliance, the striker casually jogs along as if he hadn’t just scored one of the greatest training goals of all time!

The sheer calmness shown by the striker left his own teammates gaping in awe, with Antoine Griezmann and Achraf Hakimi expressing their disbelief on Mbappe’s Instagram post.

There is absolutely no need for him to show off in such a manner, but we are not complaining –

Having had his finishing prowess compared with the likes of giants like CR7 and Lionel Messi, it is indubitable that Kylian Mbappe has fulfilled his potential to perfection. He has been a vital cog for Didier Deschamps’s side since their world cup winning campaign in 2018 and subsequently proved his mettle in the French domination of the Nations League Cup as well.

Mbappe has already stacked up 19 goals for his country and is well on course to dethrone Thierry Henry (51 goals) as the leading goal-scorer for Les Blues.

France currently sits atop Group D with 12 points in hand. With a solitary win required for World Cup qualification, Deschamps’ men can breathe easy given that their upcoming encounter is against a light-weight Kazakhstan.
