England ace Jude Bellingham pulled a fast one on an English fan holding a “can I have your shirt?” placard, as he chucked his match-shirt to the supporter right next to him.
After having pulverized San Marino by 10-0, the Three Lions emphatically reserved their seat in the next year’s World Cup to be held in Qatar. The minnows were no match to the English might and fell apart in their own backyard owing to some horrid on-field defending.
Post the thrashing, a retreating Bellingham spotted a group of fans calling out his name. The footage shows a lad ecstatically waving a homemade sign which carried a request specifically for Bellingham’s jersey.
Having spotted the fans, the Dortmund midfielder sauntered towards them but in a hilarious twist, chose to toss his kit to a crowd of Birmingham City fans instead who were present just a couple of inches adjacent to the sign-holding boy, rendering him bitterly disappointed.
The Twitterverse had a gala time mocking the sign-bearing lad over his unrequited love for Bellingham, calling it “the ultimate shirt-housery”. They were also impressed at this gesture which was indicative that the 18-year-old former Blues’ star hadn’t forgotten his roots.

Bellingham’s 80-minute appearance at the San Marino stadium was an invigorating one. Looking lively on the pitch, he even managed to score what would’ve been his first goal. But not unlike the fan he ignored, the midfielder too had to face heartbreak as his goal was chalked off by VAR as offside.
