Mohamed Salah puts defender on his butt without even touching the ball

Liverpool, Mohamed Salah

Liverpool earned a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Porto at Anfield last night. They look set to achieve the feat of becoming the first Premier League club to make it 6 wins out of 6 in the Champions League group stages. It wasn’t entirely routine for Klopp’s men however as Porto got off to a quick start making the hosts look far from comfortable.

However, with Mo Salah in the form of his life, you can’t have too much to worry about. The Egyptian struck again for the 17th time in as many games, netting a wonderful goal and easing the pressure on his team.

Beginning with a quick give and go with Jordan Henderson on the right-hand side, Salah got onto the ball in the box then proceeded to embarrass Cardoso with a simple drop of the shoulder.

Cardoso expecting a shot, quite literally dove to his left while Salah kept going forward as if the Center Back wasn’t there in the first place. He then unleashed an incredible strike into the bottom corner from a tight angle.

It’s ridiculous how easy Mo Salah made this goal look. He completely fooled Cardoso without even touching the ball!

Even in a rather quiet game by his standards, he managed to make an impact. Performances like these continue to add more credibility to the argument of Salah being perhaps the best player in the world at the moment.

The fans absolutely loved this goal from the Egyptian and The Kop instantly began singing Salah’s praises with the all too familiar “Mo Salah, running down the wing” chant.
