Jack Wilshere’s downfall shows how fleeting life can be. Tipped to be the future of English football, his trajectory was only going upwards.
Wilshere gained everyone’s attention with an incredible performance in Arsenal’s 2-1 victory against Barcelona back in 2011. But a series of injuries has now left Englishman without a club to play for.
Though the tale might not be over just yet for Jack Wilshere. The 29-year-old has been training with the Arsenal first team since last month after being welcomed back with open arms by Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal youngster Bradley Ibrahim was recently asked about the best player he has trained with on Instagram, the 17-year-old replied with Jack Wilshere along with centre-back Ben White. So he’s clearly staying fit and sharp.
With Arsenal set to lose Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny due to AFCON and Granit Xhaka still being out injured, rumours have been floating around regarding the possibility of Wilshere being re-signed on a short term basis.
In a recent interview on talkSport, Jack was asked about the possibility and he didn’t entirely close the door on the idea saying “I don’t know, I honestly don’t know.”

Mikel Arteta was asked the same question during a press conference and his answer might ignite some hope for Jack Wilshere. The Spaniard said, “To be fair he’s doing really well, he’s doing better and better, and we know the qualities that Jack has.”
Wilshere recently opened up about his regret to leave Arsenal back in 2018, admitting that it was the wrong decision and that he should’ve stayed patient.
3 years later, the opportunity just might knock on the door again and many Arsenal fans will definitely be hoping they see the return of “Super Jack Wilshere”
