Man City slammed for turning up to Champions League game in cuffed jeans

Manchester City

Guardiola’s Manchester City is one supreme team, capable enough to dominate any opponent week in, week out. Perhaps the only thing the team now lacks, if recent pictures are anything to go by, is a sense of styling.

Facing RB Leipzig in the last game of the Champions League group stage, City players arrived at the Red Bull Arena wearing questionable outfits.

Sporting black jumpers displaying a large City logo, coupled with cuffed jeans as thick as three inches and black shoes, the entire squad appeared to commit a major fashion faux pas, one which didn’t go down well with fans.

Interestingly, it wasn’t the first time City’s outfit had been called into question, as players were seen donning the same attire for their previous clash against Club Brugge in Belgium.

For the uninitiated, City has been in close partnership with fashion brand DSquared2 since 2018-19, and it’s more or less obligatory on the part of players to wear matching outfits, prompting ridicule from fans.

Horrendous or not, the outfits had no bearings on the night’s result as RB Leipzig went on to win the game 2-1 with goals from Dominik Szoboszlai and Andre Silva.
