Tom Holland admits he suggested Kylian Mbappe to join Tottenham

Spider-Man star Tom Holland had admitted to being a Spurs fan in an interview with GQ. In fact, such is his dedication to the club that he even donned the role of a negotiating agent on Tottenham’s behalf, as was revealed in a recent video posted on Youtube.

While promoting their upcoming movie Spider-Man: No Way Home, the 25-year-old actor appeared with co-star Zendaya on LADbible TV.

On the segment which pitted the couple to argue over some of the internet’s biggest debates, they were asked if “American football is better than soccer”.

With both disagreeing to the notion, Holland further added how football was the “greatest sport of all time” before speaking of the Ballon d’Or, the event in which both the actors had made a red-carpet appearance.

The actor spoke about meeting PSG star Kylian Mbappe at the event, tempting him to make his way for the North London outfit – only to be met with an outright refusal.

“We met Mbappe,” said Holland.

“I said ‘Hey, nice to meet you.”

“He was really friendly, so I said, ‘Mate, you have to come to Tottenham,’ and he just burst out laughing!”

The video then proceeds to show Mbappe and Holland laughing while at the event, wherein right after the actor made the statement, the French international was seen saying: “No, impossible! That’s impossible!”

Had Holland been better at negotiating, who knows, things would’ve turned out quite differently? Or perhaps not, considering that the French striker has set his sights only on a move towards Bernabeu in Spain.
