Dani Alves makes comeback with limited card in latest FIFA 22 update

Barcelona, Dani Alves, FIFA 22

Doesn’t it feel like a dream come true, when a past hero decides to return to your club in a stunning move?

That’s exactly what Barcelona fans must have felt when the club announced on 12 November last year that former superstar Dani Alves would be rejoining the Blaugrana until the end of the season.

An instant favourite among the fans when he arrived at Barca from Sevilla the first time as well, the Brazilian stated that seeing his beloved club falling to such depths was an instrumental factor in his decision to join up with former teammate Xavi at the Camp Nou after his contract at Sao Paulo was terminated.

Now, the 38-year-old is making another comeback, and this time it is on EA’s hugely popular football game FIFA 22.

The makers of the game released the first ratings update to the game since December on 11th January and fans were delighted to see a familiar name back.

Barcelona and Brazil legend Dani Alves was handed a relatively unimpressive 77 overall rated base card, with average stats including 78 passing, 78 dribbling and 72 defending.

However, fans are most excited about the fact that the veteran is at least back in the game and so could receive a massively boosted flashback card in the upcoming Ultimate Team event in FIFA.

Leaks have already been flying online about the concept card and it would be an understatement to say FIFA fans all over the world are excited about the same.

Dani Alves has an incredible 42 trophies to his name, with the majority of them coming at Barcelona where he was a part of one of the best teams this generation has seen, which included names like Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Lionel Messi to state a few.

It is wonderful to see that EA have also decided to prolong his legacy by including him in their latest update.

Alves will definitely go down in history as one of the best, if not the best right-backs to have ever graced our beautiful game.
