American sportswear brand Nike can often create some truly majestic kits, but occasionally they prefer to keep it simple.
We’ve seen this happen previously with the home kits of Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, where the brand has opted to go for minimalistic designs.
Utilising just the traditional colours of the club and nothing else, these designs are understated, to say the least.
The latest addition to this list could be Liverpool’s 22/23 season home kit if this leak is anything to go by.
The potential design leaked on Twitter yesterday and received a rather lukewarm reception from Reds.
The simplistic design consists only of the traditional Red, with no graphics in sight.
Of course, the club crest and sponsor logos are visible and they are white/beige in colour.
The kit will be rounded off with red shorts and red socks, the shade of red in use seems to be a touch darker than the one being used in this season’s kit.
While there’s nothing inherently wrong with a minimalistic look, it isn’t exactly the most exciting prospect for fans either.
And upon their surfacing of the leak, quite a bit of them seemed to deem the kit as bland or boring.
Fans on Twitter were not pleased with the simplicity of the kit and even accused Nike of putting no effort into it.
Others drew comparisons with Manchester United’s 07/08 all-red home kit.
Overall, it seemed Nike’s latest rendition of Liverpool’s home kit is going to be less than a hit.

Thinking about it, has there ever been a kit that NB designed and it was awful/meh? I think every kit they designed for us in 5 seasons have been above good.
