The Super Sunday encounter between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur went about in a predictable fashion.

The Blues won against Spurs for the third time this season, registering a 2-0 victory.

Just like its predecessors, the game outlined the difference between the two London clubs and the distance that Spurs have to cover.

Among the standouts for Chelsea were Hakim Ziyech and Thiago Silva.

The pair notched up the 2 goals as well, Ziyech in particular was outstanding.

The Moroccan’s rangefinder was well in tune, and he whipped in some magical passes with his left foot.

His goal was a thing of beauty too, a delicious stroke from outside the box, one that gave Hugo Lloris no chance, and this image perfectly encapsulates that.

Dipping and swerving through the air, the strike was simply unstoppable and even a world-class keeper like Lloris was firmly rooted to his spot, and could only watch it sail by.

The goal brought back memories of Ziyech during his Ajax days, a time when curlers such as this one were rather frequent.

The 28-year-old delivered probably his best performance in a Chelsea shirt last night and was rightly adjudged as Man of The Match.

Blues fans will beat hoping that the Moroccan builds on their display and maintains a steady run of form.

Chelsea grabbed a valuable 3 points from the win, while Spurs’ woes against the Blues continued and they remain in the 7th spot.
