We all have that one friend of ours who clearly loves his job more than he loves himself. For the Bayern Munich team, that man is their boss Julian Nagelsmann. The former RB Leipzig manager has been so focused on his current job that he even shouts his players’ names when he’s sleeping.
It might be hilarious and even unbelievable to imagine him being sound asleep and then shouting, “LEWANDOWSKI!” out of nowhere but believe me, I assure you it’s true.
Nagelsmann spoke to Bayern’s ‘51’ Magazine recently and he said, “Sometimes, when I‘m sleeping after a game, I‘m shouting my players’ names in sleep, my wife told me. Sometimes, she‘s waking up in the middle of the night.”
The Daily Mail (via Bild) reported that Nagelsmann often stays up late after matches as it takes a long time to wind down from the stresses and strain after matches and I totally understand that. Despite being only 34 years of age, Julian Nagelsmann has one of the toughest jobs in football as manager of Bayern Munich. At such a young age, he’s taken command of the role that was previously held by great managers like Pep Guardiola, Ottman Hitzfeld and Carlo Ancelotti.
Despite having an enormous amount of pressure being put upon him by fans all over the world. Nagelsmann seems to be adjusting quite well to his duties at the club. Bayern are currently top of the Bundesliga and are six points ahead of Borussia Dortmund. They have also won all the matches during the Champions League group stage and they shall be facing RB Leipzig in the first leg of the Round of 16 matches on 16th February 2022.
If you ask me, it seems that Nagelsmann has been working very hard and his hard work looks like it is paying off. He’s only got the second half of the season left to succeed at his first season of the club. Let’s just hope that he gets more sleep and doesn’t wake his wife up as much as he does.
