Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliott recently made his return to the pitch during Liverpool’s FA Cup tie against Cardiff City.
Introduced as a sub during the second half, the game marked his first appearance since suffering a horrific injury against Leeds United.
The 18-year-old was on the receiving end of a rash challenge by Pascal Struijk, one which ended up hurting his ankle.
He underwent a smooth rehabilitation and was able to come back to training a few weeks ago, bringing joy to his teammates and fans alike.
His return also drew classy responses from Leeds United players, the same team he got injured against.
The likes of Junior Firpo, Kalvin Phillips, Crysencio Summerville, Tyler Roberts, Sam Greenwood, Lewis Bate etc responded to his post on Instagram and appreciated his return.
The gesture, while uncomplicated in nature, is a classy one and it’s always lovely to see players rooting for each other, no matter the clubs they represent.

Elliott also ended up marking his return with a spectacular goal, one he will fondly look back on.
The midfielder got on the end of an Andrew Roberton cross and controlled it with a deft touch.
He then followed it up with a sweet strike on the half volley and it flew into the net.
Hopefully, his return to the pitch brings with it more opportunities to star in the first team.
