In a surprising switch-up, it appears that Cristiano Ronaldo‘s son is in the news rather than the United man himself.
Cristiano Jr, following in his father’s footsteps, was recently revealed as a Manchester United academy player, along with his very own professional contract.
He was also handed the signature No. 7 shirt, the number donned by his father for the senior team.
However, it seems like the 11-year-old isn’t exactly too fond of the senior team at the moment if this clip is anything to go by.
In it, United’s latest academy player can be seen alongside a fan.
The fan proceeds to ask Cristiano Jr, “are you having a good time?”, to which he receives a solitary “Yeah”.
The exchange continues and the fan then asks him “United are sh*t aren’t they?”.
In a similar tone, Cristiano Jr responds with “Yeah” once again.
It’s safe to assume that the youngster had no clue of the question asked.
Otherwise, the cheeky smile on his face as he agrees for the second time can be taken in a different context altogether.
It’s not farfetched to suggest that United have undelivered this season, especially when their remarkable squad is considered.
The Manchester Reds have indeed been disappointing, so perhaps Cristiano Jr can be forgiven for feeling the same way as many other United fans.
