Arsenal clinched a thrilling 2-1 victory against Wolves with a stoppage-time winner. Arteta’s Reds completed a crucial comeback after having gone down in the first half and registered 3 very important points on the table.
Wolves, who’ve been a formidable side under manager Bruno Lage, began the game as they often do and dominated proceedings, before capitalising on an error in the Arsenal backline and grabbing the lead.
Having gone down at the 10th-minute mark, the Gunners were under pressure and had to make sure they weren’t punished for any other mistakes.
Center back Ben White certainly was in no mood of letting another one in, and using standard sh*thousery, he quelled a threatening breakaway. The moment has been picked up by Gooners and the clip is now doing the rounds on social media.
In the clip, White initially attempts a poor pass once that is intercepted by the opposition. White’s positioning and Arsenal’s high line leaves them vulnerable to a counter, and Raul Jiménez can be seen making a run on goal.
The Mexican had a good few yards on White and looked to speed away but knowing the obvious danger, White intentionally trips the forward and then brushes it off as if it were business as usual.

Jimenez can be seen complaining but it bore no fruit as White got away with an inherently cynical challenge without even a telling off. It wasn’t the only instance of White playing with fire during the game, as the Center back prevented a second goal by diving when Conor Coady was through.
His antics have gained the admiration of Gooners online, rival fans on the other hand are appalled by his actions.
A stroke of genius or lucky escape? We’ll leave that decision up to you.
